Our Story.
It all started many years ago when two friends connected over their love of cocktails and the documentation of the search of the 10/10 Espresso Martini.
Having an ocean between them meant that the cocktail sessions were rare but looked forward to!
Rach residing in Christchurch NZ and James a local Brighton boy - eventually started dating doing the long distance for a few months, but soon realised that the commute for a cocktail date was a little too far!
Rach packed up and moved over with two bags in tow - Gold cocktail shaker included! James stocked the home bar ready for her arrival. That bar needed to be stocked well as Lockdown hit and these two new lovers found themselves in each others pockets - and drinking most nights!
Loving the idea of creating their own cocktail bar and still struggling finding the elusive 10/10 espresso martini, they decided why the hell not!
With no background in hospo - but a background in property and interior design. James and Rach tackled a huge task of renovating the old icon Saintly Burgers shop to Brooklyn.
Brooklyn is a place for locals, friends, families and lovers to enjoy a cocktail, a friendly face, a great chat and relaxing atmosphere.
